Biorevitalization
Today biorevitalization is one of the most relevant and dynamically developing areas in cosmetology. The technique involving the introduction of injections based on native high molecular weight hyaluronic acid belongs to Professor A. Di Pietro (Milan 2001). He formulated the definition of biorevitalization as "a method of intradermal injections of unmodified hyaluronic acid, allowing achievement the restoration of the physiological environment and normalization of metabolic processes in the dermis, as a result of which the aesthetic effect is prolonged and enhanced over time by restoring the intrinsic properties of the tissue."
Body’s hyaluronic acid is synthesized by fibroblasts of the dermal layer with the help of hyaluronate synthase enzymes, and is destroyed in the intercellular space with the participation of hyaluronidase enzymes and when hyaluronic acid is exposed to free radicals formed as a result of oxidative processes. There is also data on the synthesis of hyaluronic acid by corneocytes of the epidermis. Therefore, this procedure is considered the most physiological and logical when carrying out a comprehensive rejuvenation of the face and body.
What are the main indications for biorevitalization?
- Dehydration of the skin of various origins caused by both hormonal changes, unfavorable weather conditionsand improper cosmetic care, etc.;
- Decreased turgor caused by a deficiency of endogenous glycosaminoglycans as a result of a decrease in the synthetic activity of fibroblasts;
- Scarring;
- Skin preparation for aggressive cosmetic procedures and plastic surgeries and rehabilitation after them;
- Photo-induced aging, characterized by hyperkeratosis and hyperpigmentation, chronic inflammation, increased activity of metalloproteases, etc.
How is the procedure performed?
After preliminary preparation of the patient's skin for the procedure, the doctor, through numerous intradermal injections, injects the drug into the area that is exposed to the treatment. Depending on the density of the preparation, the condition of the patient's skin and the depth of injection, the formed papules and bruises can last for 1-5 days. The multiplicity and number of procedures required to obtain the result are determined by your beauty expert individually after consultation.
